Scope of Practice and Legal Compliance

Nirva Interpersonal Hypnotherapy Clinics is a collective of practitioners holding a range of professional credentials. All practitioners are required to practice strictly within the scope of their individual education, training, licensure (if applicable), and credentials, and to comply with all applicable federal, state, county, and municipal laws and regulations.

Non-Licensed Hypnotherapists

Non-licensed hypnotherapists are legally permitted to provide non-therapeutic hypnosis services in all fifty (50) United States jurisdictions, subject to applicable state statutes. As a general operational standard, practitioners affiliated with Nirva follow the framework of Florida hypnosis law, under which non-therapeutic hypnosis may be provided legally, and therapeutic hypnosis may only be performed pursuant to a valid prescription, referral, supervision, or direction from a duly licensed practitioner of the healing arts, in accordance with Florida Statute §485.

Interstate and Cross-State Sessions

In the event of interstate or cross-state sessions—where the practitioner and client are located in different states—practitioners are required to adhere to the laws and regulations of the state with the most restrictive or stringent requirements.

Practice Limitations

Non-licensed practitioners do not diagnose, treat, or claim to treat medical, dental, or mental health conditions, and provide services solely within the bounds of non-therapeutic hypnosis and the applicable laws of their respective jurisdictions.
